Khayelihle Nkosinathi Mthethwa was born on 25 November 1987 in Umlazi, KwaZulu-Natal. He grew up in a church environment, as his father Bhekithemba Mthethwa is a minister at the Umlazi Oasis Fellowship Centre. He has a brother named Mnqobi Mthethwa.
